Full Job Description
Position Summary
Essential Functions
- Read, plan and make calculations for machine operation
- Sets up and operate the press brake to bend, form and straighten
- Determine and select dies for operation
- Plan sequence of operations applying knowledge of physical properties of metal; program parts
- Set up dies and support equipment for operation
- Run press brake and produce parts as required
- Verify final product from press brake and perform all final activities
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- High attention to detail and self-motivation.
- Strong organizational and time-management.
- Ability to prioritize, schedule, and review work.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
Supervisory Responsibility
None
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. First Shift 6:00 am – 4:30 pm Position may require work on flexible shifts, or additional hours as the schedule dictates.
Work Environment
This job operates in an office and manufacturing environment. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
